It can be said that plastic surgery has become a common choice for individuals in the entertainment industry. One of those who openly admit to having plastic surgery is Aurra Kharishma.
The confession was at least revealed in Deddy Corbuzier's Youtube channel in 2021. Interestingly, recently Aurra has been heavily criticized for her choice.
Not staying silent, Aurra responded to the criticism. She admitted that she doesn't regret undergoing plastic surgery even though many netizens say she was more beautiful before the surgery.
"Of course not (regret). I love myself before (plastic surgery) and even now. Because before I made the decision, I had thought long and understood the consequences, and coincidentally my family gave me the freedom to live my own life," she wrote in her recent Instagram story.
"I am very grateful to grow and learn in a good and positive environment. And I don't mind your response to that statement because everyone has their own point of view, without affecting my opinion of myself," she added.
As a person who has a big influence in Aurra's career, Ivan Gunawan did not stay silent. He once revealed that the plastic surgery done by Aurra was not an endorsement.
"If our queen @yayasanduniamegabintang doesn't know filler until her face is swollen, then surgery with a good doctor will have perfect results. Moreover, we don't do surgery with endorsements," wrote Ivan Gunawan in the comments section of Bunda Latinas' account.
After plastic surgery, Aurra's face indeed changed. Her nose became sharper and her lips became fuller. Aurra mentioned that plastic surgery is part of her way of loving herself.
