Not only from netizens, criticism of the film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL also comes from renowned filmmakers in the country, Hanung Bramantyo. The Citra Award-winning director had previously pointed out that this film seemed to have been made in a hurry.

In response to comments from fellow film industry professionals, Endiarto, the executive producer of Merah Putih One for All, provided a lengthy explanation to clarify this perception.

Criticized by Hanung Bramantyo, Endiarto emphasized that his film was not made in haste at all. On the contrary, he revealed that the release of this film has been carefully planned for a very specific moment.

Hanung Bramantyo himself stated that the budget of around Rp 6.7 billion, after a 13% tax deduction, becomes around Rp 6 billion, which is not sufficient to produce a quality feature-length animated film.

"As I said, we are not in a hurry, because we have actually designed this from the beginning for 80 years," said Endiarto when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/8/2025).

The moment referred to is the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day, which falls in 2025. Endiarto stated that the main goal of his team is to present this work right at that historic celebration, so all production timelines are adjusted to meet that target.

"Yes, we are not in a hurry. So we have been working on this since last year," he explained. According to him, all processes have been planned well in advance.

To prove that this film is not a "Sangkuriang" project, Endiarto detailed the production schedule. He explained that the core process, such as post-production, which includes integrating all animation elements, only started in the middle of this year after all character and story preparations were completed.

"Well, starting in May we began post-production," he revealed. The post-production process itself runs intensively for about three months. Endiarto wanted to clarify rumors that claimed this film was made in just one month. According to him, that one month was the timeframe in which this film became a topic of conversation, not the duration of its creation.

"All these characters are done, we just need to generate and stitch them together, which will start in May, June, and July. So, the film that is circulating was made in one month, and the post-production will start in May, June, July, August," concluded Endiarto.
