Crossfit Trainer Says Ashraf Sinclair Still Cheerfully Training Yesterday Before He Passed Away

Even the night before he passed away, it was known that Ashraf still had time to train crossfit at a fitness center near his home called Niscala. According to Oka Tripambudi, a trainer at the facility, the late Ashraf always attended the 7:30 PM class with a cheerful demeanor clearly visible on his face.

"He came as usual, happily greeted everyone. He was truly a pleasant person," said Oka when met in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (18/2).

In addition, Oka said that Ashraf had not trained for a week. Therefore, during last night's training, the late Ashraf was asked to start the training session from the beginning to adjust to his body condition. Ashraf didn't mind it.

Last night before he passed away, Ashraf trained for one hour until 8:30 p.m. During the training, according to Oka, there were no complaints expressed by the late Ashraf.

"He understood his condition very well, even aware of all the techniques. After the training, there were no suspicious conditions. He still cheerfully greeted friends here until he went home and I heard the news," said Oka.

The news of Ashraf's passing also shocked and disbelieved Oka. The two of them have been friends since 2012. So, what kind of person was the late Ashraf in Oka's eyes?

"All this time, he was known as someone who is very, very, very friendly and kind to everyone. He was very friendly when he came, greeted everyone. He had a positive personality, we highly admire the late Ashraf's character, we respect him very much. When he left, he would only say 'see you tomorrow'. He said the same last night. He said, 'See you in the morning'," he concluded.
