Cucu Purwaniatun Reveals the Reason Why the Supporting Actress Passed Away

Kapanlagi.com - Soap opera actress Purwaniatun passed away on March 23, 2020 at Mayapada Lebak Bulus Hospital. Purwaniatun was laid to rest at TPU Pondok Kelapa, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, after the Asr prayer on the same day.

The family confirmed that the actress who often played the role of a housemaid passed away due to illness. After undergoing a uterus cancer surgery, Purwaniatun's health condition did not improve and she passed away.

"Yes, she was sick. After the surgery, uterine cancer. After the surgery, the pain didn't improve until now," said Gia, Purwaniatun's granddaughter, when contacted on Monday (3/23).

1. Poor Condition Post Surgery

Purwaniatun remained unconscious after undergoing a uterus cancer surgery. According to her granddaughter's statement, the woman who is often called Mbak Pur was only conscious for two days after the surgery before her condition worsened. Purwaniatun passed away on the 40th day after the surgery in the ICU.

"It's been around 40 days since the surgery in the ICU. From the ICU surgery until now, it's the 40th day," Gia continued.

2. Uterus Cancer

Purwaniatun's granddaughter revealed that the 66-year-old woman was diagnosed with uterus cancer one month before the surgery. Several weeks after knowing about the cancer, Purwaniatun immediately requested for it to be removed because it was still small in size.

"So after knowing about the uterus cancer, she immediately requested for it to be removed. It was still small, that's why she urgently wanted it to be removed," Gia explained.
