Custody Battle: Gala's Aunt Andriansyah Family Filed First at the Court with Vanessa Angel's Father

Kapanlagi.com - The custody dispute over Gala Sky Andriansyah, the child of the late Vanessa Angel and Bibi Andriansyah, is still ongoing in court. Both sides of the family have filed for custody of Gala at the Religious Court. Vanessa's father filed at the Central Jakarta Religious Court, while Bibi's father filed at the West Jakarta Religious Court.

However, according to Drs. H. Soelaeman, the spokesperson for the West Jakarta Religious Court, Bibi's father, H Faisal, filed for custody first. Faisal came alone without a lawyer when submitting the custody documents for his grandchild.

"The first to file for guardianship of the child was from Bibi's family. Haji Faisal, along with Dewi's mother, filed on November 15. He (Faisal) came by himself, without a lawyer. But he came himself," said Solaeman, on Friday (19/11).

According to Soelaeman, both Vanessa's family and Bibi have equal rights in taking care of Gala. However, the court will consider who can be the guardian of Vanessa and Bibi's child.

"They both have rights. The court will examine who applied first," said Solaeman.

Regarding the requirements to become a guardian, Soelaeman did not elaborate much. He only emphasized that both families have equal rights to become Gala's guardian.

"What is clear is that they have to prove whether they will indeed become Gala's guardian, whether they are family or not," he said.
