Soap opera star Raya Kohandi has decided to join the Indonesian Celebrity Sports Tournament (TOSI) by challenging herself in the equestrian competition. In this tournament, several celebrities are also participating, including Shireen Sungkar, Zaskia Sungkar, and Melody Laksani. Check out the complete photos below!
“Why am I participating in horseback riding? Because I have been doing this sport for a long time,” said Raya Kohandi in a virtual interview on Thursday (31/10/2024).
Raya explained that horseback riding has been her hobby for the past three years. Although this time she feels less prepared, her experience in horseback riding gives her enough confidence to still participate in this competition.
"Because of the soap opera, I skipped practice yesterday. But I've been riding since the pandemic," she said.
Despite her experience, this 34-year-old actress realizes that the competition this time cannot be taken lightly. She feels that one of the participants, Zaskia Sungkar, is a tough opponent in the equestrian arena.
"I think Zaskia Sungkar is a tough opponent. She has been riding for a long time, so she must be calm when riding her horse. There’s no such thing as being a master in horseback riding, but Zaskia is very calm when handling her horse," Raya revealed.
Raya realizes that calmness is the key in horseback riding, and that is what she believes is Zaskia's advantage. "Zaskia has courage on horseback. So yes, we have to stay optimistic to win," she added.
Although this challenge is tough, Raya Kohandi hopes to give her best and achieve victory at TOSI. With the experience she has and support from her colleagues, Raya is optimistic about competing in this race.
This tournament is not just a sports event, but also an opportunity for celebrities to showcase another side of themselves, inspiring many people to lead a healthy lifestyle through various sports disciplines.
