Dark Sahur, Fanny Ghassani Reveals Her Experience Fasting in Bali Coinciding with Nyepi Day

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Fanny Ghassani shares her first experience fasting in Bali coinciding with Nyepi Day.

"The difference is that my first Ramadan in Bali coincided with Nyepi. That was my first experience in Bali," said Fanny Ghassani in Tendean, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/3/2024).

The 33-year-old artist revealed that her husband, Erwan Agustian Priyambudi, has been living in Bali. Fanny said that the moment would never be forgotten.

"Because my husband lives in Bali. And at the same time, it was dark sahur due to Nyepi. That never happened before, but it became an unforgettable experience," she said.

Overall, Fanny said that this Ramadan is not much different from previous years. Ramadan remains the anticipated month.

"For daily life, it's just normal, same as other Ramadans. Always a month that is longed for," she said.

Similarly, her favorite menu, Fanny's preferences are not much different from previous years. She still likes fried food and kolak as the main menu for breaking the fast.

2. Experiencing Weight Loss

"I'm having fried food again, is it bad? Fried food, kolak, oh so delicious. Although many people say it's unhealthy, but it tastes good. This must be the first, fried food, water, kolak," said Fanny.

Interestingly, Fanny always experiences weight loss during every Ramadan. This is felt because her meal portions are smaller than in other months.

"During this fasting month, my weight goes down. During the fasting month, I always lose weight. Because the meals are not as much as usual," concluded Fanny Ghassani.
