Got Scolded by the Director While Shooting the Movie KIBLAT, Ria Ricis: Actually, Women Just Need to be Heard

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Ria Ricis shared her story while filming her latest horror movie titled KIBLAT directed by Bobby Prasetyo. As known, the shooting took place in the midst of her unstable marriage.

Because of that, Ria Ricis often got scolded by the director for not studying the script beforehand. Although she had difficulties, Ricis was grateful to be able to overcome everything and give her best performance in the movie KIBLAT.

Ricis admitted that the support from the director, crew, and cast members greatly helped in the shooting process. For Ricis, having friends to share with when her heart is troubled is very important.

"First, we talked a lot. Because actually, women just need to be heard," said Ria Ricis during the release of the movie trailer for KIBLAT, at XXI Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta, on Thursday (21/3).

In addition, Ria Ricis also expressed gratitude to the director who has been patient in directing this film. According to her, what the director has given her has made her confident in delivering her best acting.

"That's why I am very grateful to Om Bobby, it seems like there is no limit to his patience in dealing with (the role of) Rini. Our communication never breaks. So if people believe, why can't I," said Ricis.

Meanwhile, Agung Saputra as the producer of the film explained that the selection of Ria Ricis was not done randomly.

"I met Ricis, we talked in the office first. I was surprised because her weight didn't change. She already has a husband and a child. Meanwhile, here she plays as Yasmin's friend, whose body is like that," said Agung.

3. Chosen Not Based on the Number of Followers

Agung also emphasized that the selection of actors in the movie KIBLAT is not solely based on the number of followers on social media.

"So it's not about having many followers, but whether they can portray this. It's just a coincidence that some of the actors who have many followers," concluded Agung Saputra.
