Experiencing Domestic Violence Since the Beginning of Marriage, Azhiera Mentions that Kurnia Meiga Often Gets Angry Because He is Forbidden to Drink Alcohol

Kapanlagi.com - The bliss of the household of Kurnia Meiga with Azhiera Adzka Fathir ended after nine years of being built. One of the factors is because Kurnia often commits Domestic Violence (KDRT).

Azhiera mentioned that she has experienced violence since the beginning of their marriage. It was consciously done by her ex-husband because he was forbidden to drink alcohol.

"Since the beginning of our marriage, the main issue was the occurrence of domestic violence when I prohibited him from drinking. So, he did it consciously," said Azhiera when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/3/2024).

1. Confused with an Alcoholic Husband

When experiencing violence from Kurnia Meiga, Azhiera Adzka Fathir admitted that she did not know what to do. Because this is the first time she has dealt with an alcoholic since her teenage years.

"I have never had a boyfriend like that before, so I don't know how to deal with it, how to stop it, or how to forbid it. So, it's okay," said the mother of three children.

2. Not Intending to Report to the Police

For years experiencing domestic violence, Azhiera Adzka Fathir never thought of reporting to the police. Because she only wanted to get married once in her lifetime to Kurnia Meiga.

"Since the beginning of our marriage, I have been choked, kicked, and beaten. But I had no intention of reporting (to the police) because I had no thoughts of divorce," said Azhiera.
