Deepen Religion While in Prison, Pablo Benua Expresses Gratitude to Fairuz

Through their legal representatives, they requested that the trial location be moved from the South Jakarta District Court to the Cibinong District Court in West Java.

After the trial, Pablo Benua conveyed a greeting to Fairuz A Rafiq, who had reported him and his wife. It was not a greeting filled with resentment, but rather a word of thanks.

"I definitely express my gratitude to my accuser. Because after entering the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center, I gained many lessons and wisdom there," said Pablo at the South Jakarta District Court.

1. Seeing Wife Wearing a Hijab

During their time in detention, many things changed for Pablo Benua and Rey Utami. One thing that amazed Pablo was seeing his wife choose to cover her aurat.

"While inside, I was able to change for the better. I could see my wife wearing a hijab, which is extraordinary. Because it was only in the detention center that I found the pleasure of worship. Until now, I may have been reckless outside, still focused on worldly matters, but in the detention center, I learned a lot," said the father of one.

2. Parents Want Their Child to be Free

During yesterday's exculpatory hearing, Pablo Benua's adoptive father took the time to come as a form of support. With teary eyes, he hoped for mediation between Fairuz A Rafiq and his child and son-in-law so that this case could end peacefully.

"So I said, let's try to make peace. I am a convert to Islam, I said there should be no grudges between us, no envy, no suspicion. That's why I asked for immediate mediation to resolve this. No killing, no cheating, no stealing. It's like this but it has an impact on their child," said the man named Anton.
