Read Exception, Trio Salty Fish Request for the Trial Location to be Moved Outside Jakarta

Kapanlagi.com - About five months Galih Ginanjar, along with the couple Pablo Benua and Rey Utami, have been detained at the South Jakarta Metro Police. This is a consequence of a report by Fairuz A Rafiq after feeling harassed by the content of Galih's interview video regarding their past marriage on Pablo and Rey's Youtube channel.

The second trial, known as the 'Salty Fish Case', was just held on Monday (6/1/2020) at the South Jakarta District Court. The agenda of the trial was the reading of exceptions or objections from the defendants.

1. Exemption Content

The exemption includes a request to transfer the trial location from the South Jakarta District Court to the Cibinong District Court, West Java. This is because the South Jakarta District Court is considered to have no authority to adjudicate this case.

As mentioned, the current trial location is considered inconvenient for witnesses to come. Also, because the incident took place in the Cibinong area.

"The South Jakarta District Court has no authority to adjudicate this case because the locus delicti is in the Bogor area. Many witnesses are also from Bogor and Cibinong. We hope this exemption is accepted," said Rihat Hutabarat, as the lawyer for Pablo and Rey Utami.

2. Exemption Response

After reading the exemption, the Public Prosecutor requested one week to then grant or reject the objection. The next hearing for the salted fish case will be held next Monday (13/1/2020).

"After hearing the defendant's exemption through legal representation, we will provide a written response. Please allow one week for the future," the Public Prosecutor concluded, followed by the sound of the gavel.
