Deny Reporting BCL's Husband Because Haven't Move On, Arina Winarto: No Connection

Arina Winarto's lawyer, Leo Siregar, dismisses allegations from Tiko Aryawardhana, the husband of Bunga Citra Lestari, who claimed that the reported embezzlement by his client is related to unresolved or difficult-to-move-on marital issues.

According to Leo Siregar, the report filed by his client against Tiko Aryawardhana regarding the alleged embezzlement of Rp6.9 billion is based on strong and pure evidence related to ongoing business. Leo emphasizes that the report has no connection to the past relationship between the client and Tiko, who were once married.

"That accusation is not true, our report is purely related to the business being conducted and has no connection to marital affairs. We have two initial pieces of evidence, which is why it has been escalated to the South Jakarta Police," wrote Leo Siregar in his written statement received by the media.

Leo asserts that his client, Arina Winarto, after officially divorcing in February 2022, made good faith efforts by requesting clarification from Tiko in March 2022. However, Tiko did not provide complete data.

Therefore, according to Leo, his client sent a summons to Tiko in April 2022, before finally filing a report with the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police in July 2022.

"Our client was forced to issue a summons to TA in April 2022 and then resorted to legal action by filing a police report in July 2022 at the South Jakarta Police Station. This is the sequence of events, so that the public can easily understand," he said.

Leo also dismissed the notion that Arina did not carry out her duties as a company commissioner. According to him, Arina always tries to supervise the business operations, and it is actually Tiko who does not respond positively to Arina's requests.

"The proof is that since 2016, when the business had only been running for a year, our clients already asked for the sales report. But at that time, the TA always said that the profit was only a little, just enough, even barely breaking even. Until the end of July 2019, suddenly the restaurant was going to be closed by the TA because they couldn't pay the rent. So this closure is not because of the COVID pandemic, and COVID was only declared to have occurred in Indonesia in 2020," he explained.

Leo added that in 2021, Arina received financial report documents for 2017 that were different from the reports previously provided by Tiko. This made Arina suspicious that Tiko manipulated the financial reports to hide the actual conditions.

"After being audited, it turned out that the suspicion was correct. Instead of throwing unclear issues and opinions, it's better for us to together monitor this legal process so that the South Jakarta Police can provide legal certainty as soon as possible. Because it has been 2 years (the case)," Leo Siregar concluded.
