Designer Ria Miranda and Artist Mulyana Collaborate to Produce Extraordinary Works

Kapanlagi.com - Designer Ria Miranda is back with a special work. Together with artist Mulyana from Yogyakarta, they collaborated to hold an art and fashion exhibition titled Seanergy at D Gallerie Jakarta from October 12-27, 2023.

"This is Ria Miranda's first collaboration with an artist in creating this art installation," said Ria Miranda at the opening of the Seanergy exhibition, Thursday (12/10/2023).

Ria Miranda and Mulyana have different characteristics. However, they create synergy between the two types of artwork produced. Mulyana continues to create with forms of marine biota.

1. Simple and Feminine

While Ria Miranda continues to present a collection of fashion works that show a simple and feminine woman's personality.

In this exhibition, Mulyana presents costume works that are a metamorphosis of Mogus, a large figure resembling an octopus monster.

"I do create works with visual forms of marine biota as the ecosystem of the Octopus Monster. Then I respond to the positive energy that emerges from the forms of Ria Miranda's works," said the man familiarly known as Mang Moel.

2. Ready-to-Wear Fashion Design

The collaboration between Ria Miranda and Mulyana is not only present in the form of visual art exhibition installations, but also poured into ready-to-wear women's fashion designs with the distinctive DNA brand of RiaMiranda, and specifically in this collaboration there is a men's collection as well as a brooch accessory called "iwak" which is one of the distinctive features of Mulyana's works.

"I see a lot that can be explored from Mang Moel's works to be applied in Ria Miranda's ready-to-wear and accessories, with a rich variety of colors inspired by marine biota. Mang Moel's works also make me aware of the importance of preserving the environment, especially the underwater biota," said Ria Miranda.
