Despite Not Understanding, This is the Excitement of Indra Bekti and Samuel Rizal Playing Basketball with Orphans

Kapanlagi.com - Coaches and young basketball players from the Indonesian Muda basketball club held an iftar and shared with orphans. The iftar event, held at the ABC Senayan Basketball Court, was also attended by Indra Bekti and Samuel Rizal. The presence of these two Indonesian celebrities brought joy to the iftar event for the Indonesian Muda basketball players.

"Indonesia Muda Jakarta is very happy this year to be able to share joy and donations with orphans. And Alhamdulillah, Sammy and Indra Bekti were willing to take the time to share joy with us and all the orphans who were present," said Coach Supri, a senior coach of Indonesian Muda, when met at the ABG GBK Basketball Court, South Jakarta, on Friday night, April 23.

1. Sharing Joy

Certainly Indra Bekti and Samuel Rizal admitted that they are happy to be able to take part in the iftar event held by the legendary Indonesian youth basketball club. For both of them, being involved and spreading joy and sharing donations in the midst of the current pandemic conditions will provide their own blessings.

"We have gone through a difficult year, it hasn't been easy for myself or most of us to survive and stay focused through difficult times. Now being able to be involved and invited to share joy and donations to our brothers and sisters (orphans) is certainly a blessing in this Ramadan," said Indra Bekti.

2. Love for Basketball

Meanwhile, although they have different beliefs, tolerance is still shown by Samuel Rizal by being willing to participate in this iftar event. The desire to share and his love for basketball calls him to always spread love to others.

"I am happy to be involved in the iftar event with the Indonesian Youth basketball club, all of the coaches are my friends from the past and I am happy with the spirit of sharing and caring for orphans shown by Indonesia Muda," said Samuel Rizal.

3. Coaching Clinic

The event with Indonesian Young Basketball Players and orphans was also filled with a coaching clinic for the orphans by all the Indonesian Young Basketball Players coaches and also Samuel Rizal, who is a former National Basketball Player. Interestingly, in the Coaching Clinic event, Indra Bekti, who admitted that he didn't really understand basketball, asked to be taught some basketball techniques by Samuel Rizal and some young basketball players.

"Earlier, Sammy and the coaches taught me some basic techniques, turns out basketball is still a fun sport for me," said Indra Bekti.

4. Indra and Samuel's Hope

Closing with sharing donations and gifts to the orphans, Indra and Samuel also hope that basketball can become popular among millennials today.

"Hopefully, more children nowadays care about and enjoy basketball, not just focus on smartphones and games. Basketball can be a means to socialize and also a platform to achieve success," concluded Samuel Rizal.
