Vadel appeared calm and even smiled occasionally as the police presented evidence against him. This case began in January 2024 when Nikita Mirzani, the mother of LM/Lolly, reported the alleged criminal act committed by Vadel Badjideh.
Vadel Badjideh has been named a suspect based on Article 76D in conjunction with Article 81 paragraph (1) of the Child Protection Law. This article regulates the crime of sexual intercourse with a child and the severe penalties associated with it.
Vadel faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years and a minimum of 5 years. This suspect designation is based on various strong pieces of evidence, including the testimony of the victim, expert witnesses from the medical examination, and other evidence.

For the next 20 days, Vadel will be held for further examination. This case not only involves allegations of sexual intercourse but also forced abortion, which further complicates the legal situation he faces.
"As a result of the relationship, the victim child LM is suspected to have become pregnant, and the child victim LM was forced to terminate her pregnancy by the suspect VAB. Because VAB's actions were not to be known by her family," explained Citra, Head of the Women and Children Protection Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, on Friday (14/2/2025).
