Disappointed Only Given 250 Thousand Each Stinky Concert, Reason Ndank Surahman Sends Summons

Kapanlagi.com - Ndank Surahman, former guitarist of Stinky, has sent an open summons by prohibiting Stinky and Andre Taulany from performing two of his songs, namely Mungkinkah and Jangan Tutup Dirimu.

Ndank's reason for doing this is because he did not receive a fair share as the songwriter. Since he no longer became a member, Ndank claimed to only receive Rp 250-500 thousand for every Stinky concert performing his songs.

Based on input from some of his composer friends, that amount is not worthy of him.

"Maybe friends can evaluate, whether it is worth it with such payment. It's really sad, while Andre can perform and we know the value, Stinky's rate is also 50 and above," said Ndank in Cinere, Depok, on Tuesday (2/1/2024).

Ndank hopes that with the summons he sent, there will be further discussions with Stinky and Andre Taulany regarding his rights as the creator of the songs 'Mungkinkah' and 'Jangan Tutup Dirimu'.

"At that time, I asked for only 2 percent of their earnings. After discussing with my friends, it could be around 5 percent or more. Maybe 5 to 10 percent," he said.

2. Providing 250 Thousand for Each Performance

Meanwhile, separately met, Irwan Batara, Stinky's bassist, confirmed that Stinky gives Rp 250,000 to Ndank for every performance of Ndank's songs.

"We value one song at 250 thousand. That's enough for him alone, considering that from KCI and the publisher it's even smaller, only a few thousand rupiah. (He did) protest, but it's like to a friend, you're given this much, Ndank is already getting more than us, just accept it. He accepted it, no problem, at that time," said Irwan at Rumah Goa, Ciputat, Tangerang, on Tuesday (2/1/2024).
