Asila Maisa, a student at the Faculty of Law at the University of Indonesia (UI), responded to allegations that she got into UI by bribing.
In an interview, she explained that her success is the result of hard work, including taking the SIMAK exam and the IELTS test for the international class.
"I entered UI through the SIMAK KKI pathway, which is different from the regular SIMAK. The SIMAK KKI involves a written test and an English language exam like IELTS. My IELTS score is indeed good, and my SIMAK score also meets the requirements, so I was accepted without having to pay or receive any assistance," said Asila as quoted by Insertlive.
Asila, who is studying law, has the desire to become a prosecutor or a lawyer. However, Asila also does not want to leave the entertainment industry.
"Deep down, I actually want to be a prosecutor, but I don't want to leave singing and the entertainment world. If I take a job in the legal field, I would probably become a lawyer," said Asila.
Despite receiving a lot of criticism, Asila remains a cheerful person and continues to shine in her career and academics. Recently, she was even a speaker at a campus event.
