The popular culture from South Korea has been developing and spreading widely in Indonesia since the 2000s. South Korea continues to expand its popularity for Korean music, Korean dramas, Korean fashion, Korean food, and Korean beauty products in order to attract the attention of all Indonesian citizens. This is known as the Korean Wave.
The biggest result of the Korean Wave, which is highly favored by Gen Z, is Korean Pop, or commonly known as K-Pop. This culture from Korea has a strong influence on its fans. In fact, fans can spend hundreds of millions just to meet their idols.
