8 Portraits of Selvi Kitty Spending Billions to Sell Luxury Bags for the Sake of Running for Election, Claims to be Sincere if Not Elected

The 30-year-old dangdut singer shared her experience as a candidate for legislative member, admitting that she has spent up to one billion rupiah. 

"When it comes to capital, it's definitely big, but if it's about selling, honestly, I used to sell," said Selvi Kitty when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, Friday (1/4/2024).

Nevertheless, Selvi Kitty has never sold her house and car. However, she has sold some valuable items such as bags and gold jewelry for her campaign needs.

"No, it's not like that, selling bags and gold. Honestly, that's my struggle, right? Because here's the thing. What's important to me now is to do good with whatever I have, however I can get it first, God willing, there will be other blessings later," she said.

"So I'm not half-hearted, we're already here, why should we be half-hearted, it's okay. Especially since I got the number one, that's a big responsibility for me. So let's take advantage of the opportunity, let's do our best, that's it," he added.

Until now, from the real count conducted by the KPU, Selvi Kitty has received 32,500 votes. She admitted to getting the second highest number of votes from her party.

"Alhamdulillah, today my votes have reached 32,500 and that is the second largest number of votes. So the decision will be made on March 20, I am waiting for the recapitulation at the KPU Jabar level," she said.

However, she doesn't want to be arrogant. Selvi also revealed that she is already willing if she is not elected as a legislator. "If I lose, I'm ready, I'm willing," she concluded.
