Beby Tsabina and Maxime Bouttier star in an original series for the Vidio streaming service titled THE PERFECT STRANGERS. They are cast as two strangers named Alexa and Liam who become close because of their love for cooking.
To portray the character Alexa, Beby admits to attending workshops with professional chefs.
Unlike Beby, who took cooking classes, Maxime is already skilled in cooking in real life.
"If I can't cook, I have to attend a workshop first. Here, I attended a workshop with a chef and was given detailed information about cutting techniques,” said Beby when met in Thamrin, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (29/2/2024).
"During the cooking scene, I honestly felt more nervous because the distance from the workshop to the shooting location was quite far. It felt like remembering and learning again," he continued.
Because he is already skilled in cooking, during the shooting location, Maxime Bouttier often gave advice to Beby Tsabina. As a co-star, Beby felt very helped by this.
"I told Beby that cutting should be done like this. I am quite a perfectionist," said Maxime in the same interview session.
"Because he is good at it, I listened to his advice. So I was helped by Maxime and also the director who likes to cook," Beby added.
Knowing that Maxime Bouttier is good at cooking, of course Beby Tsabina admits feeling insecure. Even though she is quite skilled at baking, she is not accustomed to cooking and exploring it.
"I saw Maxime and felt insecure about why I didn't start learning to cook earlier. Because I like baking, it's actually the same thing, just not a habit. I want to be able to cook by myself," said Beby.
