Don't Want to Be a Burden, Reza Artamevia Decides to Resign as a Candidate

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Reza Artamevia announced that she has resigned as a candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives in the 2024 election. Reza Artamevia made this decision because she wants to remain neutral and focus on her artistic work.

However, when interviewed in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (24/1), Reza explained that initially she entered politics to be able to benefit the public. But after thinking about it, Reza felt that she could be more useful to the public through music.

Moreover, considering that Reza is already known as a singer who has many popular hits until now.

"In this opportunity, I also want to emphasize that I am stepping back from the political stage. I want to remain neutral. Initially, I wanted to be useful to many people, but I think I can still be useful to many people without getting involved in politics," said Reza Artamevia.

Reza also explained that he wants to establish good relationships with anyone without political interference. He made that decision after returning from America.

2. Not Suitable for Politics

In addition, the mother of Aaliyah Massaid explained that she actually passed the administrative stage. However, because she felt that she was no longer suitable for the world of politics, Reza withdrew.

"Because I have many friends and a large social circle. So, I want to connect with anyone for the greater good," she said.

"I passed everything (the administrative process), but then I don't know why there was this feeling, why it became a burden. I thought, oh, I can't do this, I am an artist. I want to be free," she concluded.
