Edward Akbar finally answered the call from the South Jakarta Metro Police on Friday, July 11, 2025. He came in relation to a report of alleged embezzlement of a car filed by his ex-wife, Kimberly Ryder.

His presence this time is described as a gesture of goodwill to resolve the issue peacefully. The actor stated that from the beginning there was no malicious intent to take over the car that is the subject of the report. He emphasized that he has always taken good care of the vehicle. "I also want to let you know that I am here with peaceful intentions because there are indeed no elements of embezzlement and I do not want to take over, I have not taken over, I have been taking care of it," said Edward Akbar at the South Jakarta Metro Police.

Edward also revealed that he had actually responded to the summons on June 26 and even brought the car reported by Kimberly. He stated that this could be directly proven through documents and digital evidence.

"Therefore, at the summons on June 26, I was present here and brought the vehicle. This can also be seen here (on the phone)," said Edward Akbar.

As a father of two children, Edward expressed that he does not want to prolong the conflict with his ex-wife. By directly bringing the car in question, Edward wants to prove that the allegations of embezzlement are unfounded.

"Yes, the car that was reported as embezzled and it was never sold, please be fair, my friends, I want peace for a long time," he said.

He also requested that all parties could view this issue clearly and objectively. According to Edward, there was no intention whatsoever on his part to harm others, especially Kimberly, who is the mother of his children.

Previously, Kimberly reported Edward for allegedly embezzling a car that was still in Edward's possession after the divorce. The report was filed with the South Jakarta Metro Police and mediation was scheduled several times, but Edward was absent on some occasions.
