Edward Akbar revealed new facts about what his wife, Kimberly Ryder, did back in 2019. At that time, Kimberly left home, abandoning her husband and children. Here’s the complete story!
"One of the confessions from KR herself is that she lied when she left home, and she also admitted that leaving home diminished her husband's dignity," said Jundri R. Berutu, Edward's attorney, when met in the Pondok Bambu area, East Jakarta, Wednesday (10/9/2024).
After returning home, Kimberly made a declaration letter and promised not to make the same mistake again. She wrote the letter with a stamp and has signed it. "That in the year 2009 there was a declaration letter made by this KR, in principle, in that declaration letter, she essentially stated that she admitted to having lied to her husband," she said.
Jundri read a little of the contents of the declaration letter. Apparently, Kimberly's younger sibling played a role, which ultimately led her to leave the house and abandon her husband and child at home for several days.
"In her declaration letter, the lies I planned through my younger sibling NR to take a shortcut that damaged trust and the foundations of building a good household, where I realized that the lies also degraded my dignity as a wife and damaged my husband's self-esteem," Jundri expressed while reading the contents of the letter.
"I promise to learn from this incident and not to damage my husband's trust from behind again. As a wife, I am ready to face any situation to build a household together and beyond," Jundri continued.
Apparently, since that incident, Kimberly has continued to repeat the same mistake, but Edward still forgives her. However, Edward is still just a human and eventually could not resist his anger and decided to give his wife a triple divorce. "Leaving the house was in 2019, not long after, maybe just a few days. But what we convey is that the process leading to the disharmony until the divorce was partly based on that," he explained.
"Through this statement, he acknowledges that he is wrong, but it seems that the mistakes may continue to repeat, and we do not know what other issues are occurring, so our client as a husband certainly has a sense of patience as well," he concluded.
