Kapanlagi.com - Artist couple El Rumi and Syifa Hadju have officially taken on the status of husband and wife. They just held the marriage contract ceremony, which was conducted solemnly at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta on Sunday (26/4).
However, there was something that caught attention during the sacred ceremony. The position of the marriage guardian for Syifa Hadju was not performed by her biological father, but was represented by the imam who acted as the guardian.
This was confirmed directly by Habib Usman bin Yahya, who was also present at the event. He explained that the marriage contract process still proceeded according to
the sharia despite being represented.
"The marriage guardian is the imam. Yes, the guardian judge," said Habib Usman bin Yahya when met at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta.
In agreement with Habib Usman, the witness from Syifa Hadju's side, Adhyaksa Dault, also confirmed this. He mentioned that Syifa Hadju's father was indeed not seen present at his daughter's wedding ceremony.
"Yes, because her father wasn't present, right?" said Adhyaksa.
Adhyaksa Dault did not provide further explanation regarding the reason for Syifa's father's absence. However, he assured that the father's absence did not pose an obstacle to the validity of the marriage between El Rumi and Syifa Hadju.
"I don't know, what is clear is that it was represented. So there is no problem, right, it's all valid," said Adhyaksa.
After the smooth wedding ceremony, the couple is scheduled to hold a wedding reception in the evening. For fans who want to witness this happy moment, the ceremony and reception will be broadcast by the television station SCTV on Monday (27/4).
