Siraman El Rumi, Maia Estianty Gives a Touching Message to Syifa Hadju

A touching moment occurred at the sungkeman event before El Rumi's siraman held in Jakarta on Friday, (24/4) yesterday. After El asked for permission to marry, Maia Estianty gave a sweet message to her future daughter-in-law, Syifa Hadju.

Amidst suppressed sobs, Maia requested that Syifa often hug her son. Maia reminisced about the time she let go of El due to her separation from Ahmad Dhani, then released him again for school, and now Maia is letting El go to marry.

The moment of El Rumi's blessing to his parents before his marriage to Syifa Hadju was filled with emotion. After El asked for permission to marry, Maia delivered a message that moved everyone.

"At your new age of 8 years, we had to part ways. Parting for a while, my dear. From that day, I learned to be a mother who cannot hug you every day, until now," said Maia.

"Then when you were a teenager, I let you go again, you had to study in London. During that farewell, I still remember, I smiled in front of you. But behind you, when I left that cramped dormitory, I cried hard. Because I couldn't bear to leave you alone in a foreign country. But that is life, it has to teach something that is not easy and not everything is pleasant," Maia continued.

Maia then sent a message to her future daughter-in-law, Syifa Hadju, to often hug El Rumi after they get married later. Because that is something she has not been able to do until now.

"For Syifa who is not here, Mother entrusts El Rumi. Perhaps in the past, Mother could not always hug him every day. For Syifa, to always hug El, often and for a long time. Longer than what Mother has ever done, because Mother cannot do that until today," said Maia with restrained tears.

The water blessing ceremony for El took place solemnly and smoothly. Maia Estianty and Ahmad Dhani gave their blessings to their son and conducted the water blessing ceremony together.

El and Syifa held a recitation and water blessing ceremony on the same day, but in different locations. They both wore light blue outfits, which is El's favorite color.
