Shindy Samuel Shares the Pain of Marriage, Once Insulted as 'Rhinoceros'

Shindy Samuel recently filed for divorce from her husband, Rendy Samuel, at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday (20/4/26). This decision was made after a long period of facing marital conflicts. One of the things Shindy revealed was related to her experience of being at the lowest point in her life.

She shared a story of reflection and depth about her life journey until she ultimately decided to take the path of divorce. According to Shindy, marriage should be a place to respect and honor one another. However, the reality she faced was quite the opposite.

In a lengthy post, she revealed that she had once been at a very low point that left a deep emotional mark. But the most heartbreaking thing was not about her physical condition or the material difficulties she experienced.

"I have been at the lowest point in my life. It wasn't when my weight was at 178kg. It wasn't even when he 'almost never' provided for me for 9 years," Shindy revealed.

"The lowest point in my life was when I was called 'RHINO' by someone who should have cared for me the most," she continued. She felt how words can hurt deeper than physical actions, leaving marks that are hard to erase.

From that experience, Shindy began to understand that emotional wounds have a very significant impact. She learned that kind words are one of the keys to keeping love alive, even when human physicality continues to change over time.

Even so, she did not want to remain trapped in sadness. Slowly but surely, Shindy began to rise from her despair. She tried to reconnect with herself, accept her flaws, and learn to love herself unconditionally.

Now, from all the wounds she has ever felt, Shindy actually found new strength. "Because a woman who has been broken is a woman who knows how to shine stronger than before," concluded Shindy.
