El Rumi Proposed to Syifa Hadju to Her Parents Before Giving the Ring in Switzerland

Through the YouTube show El & Syifa Family, Syifa Hadju revealed that there were many questions about their engagement process in Switzerland. Many were curious about how Syifa and El were so well dressed for that surprise event.

Syifa then revealed the story behind El Rumi's proposal in Switzerland. It turns out El had proposed to Syifa's parents a few months earlier. After that proposal moment, Syifa and El immediately began various wedding preparations, including a pre-wedding photo shoot.

When Syifa and El were about to go to London to watch the band Oasis, they thought about doing a pre-wedding photoshoot at the same time. The couple then considered that it would be a shame to only do the photoshoot in England. Eventually, they decided to have the photoshoot in another country, since they were already going abroad. "He said, how about Switzerland? Then I was like, 'Oh my God, that's my dream country,'" said Syifa.  

Previously, Syifa had often given hints to El. Even though she had been proposed to by her family, she still wanted to be proposed to personally. El caught that hint and secretly prepared a proposal for Syifa.

During her time in Switzerland, Syifa truly had no idea that she would be personally proposed to by El Rumi. Ahmad Dhani's son did not tell many people about his personal proposal plans. Among the few people who knew, Maia Estianty and Irwan Mussry were some of them. "I only told the photographer about it the day before. I told Kak Ria, the MUA, on the day of the event. Because I really wanted to keep it a secret, so she wouldn’t know about that moment (the proposal)," said El.

El also made an appointment with his photographer to propose when they were wearing formal clothes. Previously, they had done photoshoots in various places wearing casual clothes. Syifa was a bit confused as to why her photographer, who usually worked quickly, asked her to pose longer that day. Even though the weather was cold and Syifa's dress was very thin, she protested because she was already feeling cold.

On the same occasion, El and Syifa revealed that they have indeed planned to get married since the beginning of their relationship. The dating phase is just a time to get to know each other better, but marriage has been their goal from the start.
