Behind the grandeur of the wedding party of El Rumi and Syifa Hadju, there are interesting facts about the independence of this young couple. Even though they used a Wedding Organizer, it turns out that El and Syifa are the main brains behind all the decoration details and outfit selections.

Even in terms of food, El and Syifa got directly involved in the food testing. Ferry Maryadi and Deswita Maharani shared how proud they are to see this couple so focused on preparing everything from scratch.

"Yes, managing everything themselves. I mean, there is a WO, but they are the brains behind all of this. So they want it to be a certain way, they choose what they like. We, the parents, just follow along. Like El wants the decorations to be like this, and Syifa wants the outfits to be like this," said Deswita Maharani when met in the Warung Buncit area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/4/2026).

One thing that made Deswita and Ferry very amazed is the devotion to worship shown by El Rumi amidst his busy schedule. During a catering food tasting session that took quite a bit of time, El never missed his prayer time. He still prioritizes his obligations to God amidst a very tight schedule.

"We once did food testing, coincidentally the food testing went past the zuhur prayer time, it had already gone past the ashar prayer time, so El was like 'Just a moment, sorry Dad, I need to pray zuhur first.' So we went to pray zuhur first," he said.

"I said we should take a break for a moment, give El a chance to pray first because he is really tight on time after finishing shooting and then he has to go to the food testing place. He has been able to prioritize that, masyaallah that's amazing," Deswita added.

Not only El, Syifa Hadju also showed an extraordinary spiritual preparation ahead of her wedding day. Deswita recounted that Syifa never stopped performing tahajud prayers, dhuha prayers, and fasting for the smoothness of her big day. Syifa's mental and physical state has been maximally prepared with continuous prayers.

"Syifa has been amazing in her preparations since she decided to get married, from her mental state, her physical condition, she never stops tahajud, yesas long as she is not on her period, she never stops tahajud, she never stops her two prayers, her fasting, and she is never late for the five daily prayers. El too," Deswita continued.

Their struggle to prepare their own wedding is evident from the very minimal break time. Deswita even sent a message to remind Syifa to take a rest, but it was only replied to in the early morning due to how busy she was. This spirit of independence is what makes Ferry and Deswita feel that this wedding is very meaningful for El and Syifa.

"Just like yesterday when I was about to have the akad, I WhatsApped, like, 'Sis, take a break, okay?' She only replied, I WhatsApped at 11 and she replied at 3 in the morning, which means she hadn’t slept by 3 in the morning," concluded Deswita Maharani.
