Emerging as the Champion of Miss Grand Indonesia 2021, Sophia Rogan Brings Home the 'World of Victory' Crown

In that prestigious beauty event, Sophia Rogan was crowned as Miss Grand Indonesia 2021 and will represent Indonesia in the Miss Grand International 2021 event.

The coronation of Miss Grand Indonesia 2021 was held in an intimate manner, adhering to the health protocols set by the government. On that occasion, Sophia and Aurra Kharishma, who is Miss Grand Indonesia 2020, looked stunning in gowns designed by Wiwi Wu.

"Sophia and Aurra's gowns tonight were specially designed by Wiki Wu. In addition, they were also supported by a designer from Palembang named Topan Sapta," said Ivan Gunawan in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

With her victory as Miss Grand Indonesia 2021, Sophia Rogan is entitled to receive the World of Victory crown, which means victory for the world. The crown is made of precious metal coated with white gold and rose gold.

World of Victory is adorned with more than 7,000 highest-grade cubic zirconia stones in 2 different shapes, namely round and pear-shaped, including 154 cubic zirconia stones mounted with the Dancing Stone mechanism, an original Japanese technology.

Sophia's journey will not stop here. After this, she will face a greater challenge, which is representing Indonesia in the Miss Grand International 2021 event in December.

Ivan Gunawan, through the Dunia Mega Bintang Foundation, personally selected Sophia Rogan as Miss Grand Indonesia 2021. The famous designer also explained his reasons.

"I chose Sophia because she possesses many criteria that we desire. Sophia has a unique character. As a mixed-race English-Indonesian woman, I see potential in Sophia. She has good public speaking skills and a good command of the English language. This means I have a new weapon to bring her to the international level in the future," expressed Igun.
