"I have glaucoma, I hope my illness is just a joke, not serious. On Monday, I will have surgery, hopefully, it's a minor operation. My left eye is blurry when I look. Pray that I can recover soon," said Epy Kusnandar during a celebration before filming the movie Preman Pensiun in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Friday (4/6/2018).
Brain Tumor/Cancer: Epy Kusnandar was diagnosed with a brain tumor or cancer in 2010-2011 with slim chances of survival (estimated to have only 4 months left to live).
However, he refused to undergo brain cancer surgery and chose to pursue alternative treatment. Fortunately, the cancer that Epy suffered from had not reached an advanced stage, as stated by the doctor who previously treated Epy's illness. He expressed happiness that his health was gradually improving and that he could return to normal activities.
Stroke: Epy Kusnandar experienced a mild stroke in 2020. He underwent stroke therapy after recounting the initial incident when the left side of his body gradually felt painful. He moaned in pain while undergoing alternative treatment, groaning in pain during a 2-hour massage.
