Erika Carlina's Party Asserts Police Report is Purely Criminal

In the midst of the ongoing legal process between Erika Carlina and DJ Panda, Erika's legal team feels the need to clarify the substance of the issue. They emphasize that the report submitted to the Metro Jaya Police is purely based on allegations of criminal acts, and is not related at all to civil matters such as the acknowledgment of biological father status.

This clarification is made to avoid any biased framing in the community. Mohammad Faisal, Erika's attorney, stated that his client's main focus is on the actions of DJ Panda which are considered to have violated the law.

"The presence of the victim at the Metro Jaya Police is in relation to allegations of criminal acts, and not to request regarding civil rights over the child's identity, being recognized as the biological father, and so on, that is not the case," emphasized Mohammad Faisal at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, Friday (14/11/2025).

According to her, this report was made because Erika, who was heavily pregnant at the time, felt threatened by DJ Panda's actions. As is known, DJ Panda was accused of spreading Erika's ultrasound photo to a WhatsApp group and creating a narrative that cast doubt on who the father of the child was.

This action was then reported with multiple charges, ranging from threats, hate speech, to violations of the Personal Data Protection Act.

"So it is purely based on the alleged criminal acts as per the articles applied by the Metro Jaya Police," he added.

Now, the case has progressed to the investigation stage, which means the police have found elements of a crime in Erika's report. Nevertheless, the door for peace through Restorative Justice (RJ) is still open.

Related to the RJ process, Erika's side requires a sincere acknowledgment from DJ Panda of his actions, not just an apology because he is already cornered.

"The principle of RJ is that we are no longer talking about material matters. RJ is fundamentally about forgiving actions for the sake of the law because there is wisdom through reconciliation," explained Faisal.

With this clarification, Erika Carlina's side hopes the public can view this case objectively as a process of criminal law enforcement, and not mix it with personal matters between the two.
