Voicing Environmental Issues, Puteri Indonesia 2025 Firsta Yufi Says Young People Are Not Heirs but Movers

As Puteri Indonesia 2025, Firsta Yufi Amarta Putri not only represents beauty but also serves as a voice for the younger generation. She boldly asserts that young people today have a crucial role in sustainability issues, not just as heirs of the future, but as the main drivers of change.

This strong statement was made when she was one of the keynote speakers at an interactive talk show titled Green Generation. The event, initiated by TBS Foundation, took place at Urban Forest Cipete, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/11/2025), as part of the strategic momentum of TBS Re/define. Here are the details.

"If we look at today's theme, it is very relevant. We, young Indonesians, some say that young people today are not heirs, we are the movers," said Firsta Yufi.

One concrete example is the outfit worn by her colleague at the international event in Japan, made from recycled materials to showcase the beauty of Indonesia's nature. "We from Puteri Indonesia are already accustomed to using recycled materials," she asserted.

For Firsta, the spirit of the Green Generation is not about waiting for instructions. On the contrary, she invites all young people to proactively become agents of change themselves. "The essence is actually that when we talk about the green generation, we do not wait for change to happen. Instead, we become part of that change," she concluded.

The spirit voiced by Firsta aligns with the grand vision promoted by the TBS Foundation. According to the Chairwoman, Juli Oktarina, empowering the younger generation must start from the grassroots level, namely through the education system.
