Fahmi Bachmid Responds to the Suspect Status of Nikita Mirzani: No Extortion

Kapanlagi.com - The legal counsel for Nikita Mirzani, Fahmi Bachmid, responded to the designation of his client as a suspect in the alleged extortion and threat case. Nikita was designated as a suspect along with her assistant, Ismail Marzuki alias Mail, by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police.

When contacted by the media on Thursday (20/2/2025), Fahmi emphasized that the suspect status does not automatically mean that his client committed a crime.

"Being a suspect does not mean committing a crime. This act requires the correct interpretation from an expert. It cannot be immediately interpreted as a criminal act," said Fahmi.

1. Need for Thorough Proof

According to Fahmi, this case requires a thorough proof process. He highlighted that the articles alleged against Nikita, especially related to the alleged extortion, still require in-depth interpretation.

"The spokesperson only read the articles that were alleged. Whether that really happened requires proof," he added.

2. Initial Communication from the Reporter

Fahmi also questioned the logic behind the extortion allegations. He mentioned that the initial communication in this case was actually made by the reporter.

"How can someone commit extortion, while Nikita was the one contacted first? That's strange. The one who started the communication first was the reporter to Mail," said Fahmi.

3. No Elements of Extortion

As a legal representative, Fahmi ensured that there are no elements of extortion in this case. He explained that the conversation between Nikita, her assistant Mail, and the reporter was merely a request for help regarding product reviews.

"I assure you, there is no extortion. In my opinion, as a legal representative, there is no extortion. What exists is a request for help. Nikita was asked to review positively. After that, a contract was made, and the contract will be paid again, remind them," he explained.

4. This Case Conversation Has Been Recorded

Fahmi expressed that all conversations related to this case have been recorded, including communications between the reporter and Mail. He hopes that the investigators can act objectively and fairly in handling this case, considering the significant public scrutiny.

This case began with a report from a skincare entrepreneur with the initials RGP to the Metro Jaya Police in December 2024. In his report, RGP accused Nikita Mirzani of making threats and extortion after communication took place via social media and WhatsApp. Currently, the legal process against Nikita Mirzani and her assistant is still ongoing.

"I ask that this be handled with integrity, police, investigators. Don't take this case lightly. This also concerns the reputation of the police, as this case is under public scrutiny," Fahmi asserted.
