Fariz RM Auctions Historical Items to Support Orphans During Ramadan

The legendary Indonesian musician, Fariz Roestam Moenaf, or affectionately known as Fariz RM, is filling the holy month of Ramadan in 2026 with humanitarian actions. The 67-year-old man visited the 1999 Orphanage in the Tebet area to personally deliver assistance to the orphans.

This social action is not just an ordinary visit, but the result of a creative fundraising movement. The funds provided are purely from the auction of valuable items belonging to the singer of the song Barcelona, which was held some time ago.

The items auctioned have a very high historical value for the career journey of the music maestro. Deolipa explained that one of the items that attracted collectors' attention the most is the memorabilia jacket that often accompanied Fariz on stage.

"The agenda of Mr. Fariz RM will provide assistance to orphans, to be distributed to orphans in the form of funds. Well, this fund is the money generated from yesterday's event, where there was an auction," said Deolipa Yumara, the legal counsel and management of Fariz, when met in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, Thursday (11/03/2026).

There are a total of two orphanages that will receive the assistance from this auction. In addition to the Tebet area, Fariz RM also scheduled a visit to the Mizan orphanage in the Kalibata area to share happiness in welcoming the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"Yes, the auction of Fariz RM's memorabilia jacket. So there is a fund, and the money will be collected to be handed over to the orphanage by Mr. Fariz. There are two orphanages, the first here in Tebet, the second in Kalibata," Deolipa Yumara added.

Fariz RM himself recounted that the idea to auction these historical items came from his own thoughts. He wanted the items that had once been silent witnesses to his glory in the national music scene to provide real benefits to those in need.

In the auction process, Fariz donated two iconic stage costumes and one painting of his own creation. For him, setting aside a portion of his wealth for orphans is the best way to celebrate the blessings of health and age given by God.

"At that time, I suggested to my friends that I wanted to auction some historical memorabilia from my career as a professional musician. The proceeds will be set aside for orphans in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan. So there are two outfits, two stage costumes of mine, and one painting. Coincidentally, I paint," said Fariz RM.

This activity is expected to ignite the spirit of sharing among fans and fellow artists. After completing the agenda in Tebet, the group led by Fariz RM immediately headed to the second location at the Mizan Orphanage in Kalibata.
