The renowned director Hanung Bramantyo recently shared his experience undergoing surgery on his nose while in Seoul, South Korea. The decision was not merely for appearance, but stemmed from a health issue he had not realized until now.

Through his social media post, the husband of Zaskia Adya Mecca shared that after more than 50 years of living, he only just realized that he had been breathing through only one nostril. This condition became particularly unbearable when he caught a cold due to allergies.

"After 50 years, I just realized that I have been breathing through only one nostril all this time. When I caught the flu due to allergies, it felt unbearable. From mba @asri_welas, I was introduced to NewVelle Solutions. Then I was introduced to Dr. Kim Hanjo, an ENT specialist who is currently handling plastic surgery at Eight Hospital Seoul, South Korea," wrote Hanung Bramantyo in an Instagram post on Wednesday (11/3).

During the examination, using a breathing aid, Dr. Kim showed how it feels to breathe normally. That moment made Hanung realize that he had never truly experienced a breath of relief.

"It turns out that all this time I have never breathed normally. Oxygen intake was not absorbed 100%. As a result, my year-end vacation with the kids in Seoul became an opportunity to clear my nose. Thank God, now I can finally feel a breath of RELIEF!! Allahu Akbar," he continued.

However, since Dr. Kim is also a plastic surgeon, Hanung's "playful" side emerged. When offered to reshape his nose at the same time, he immediately agreed casually.

"Not stopping there, he is also partnered with Dr. Park Minu, who is also an expert in removing bags under the eyes that sag like underwear, wrinkles on the forehead, and a chin that suddenly has a twin. When asked: 'How about doing it all at once, sir?' I answered... 'Sure!" he continued.

"So what’s the result like? I asked after the surgery. Wait for 6 months. Thank you so much Dr. Park Minu, specialist in eye surgery & face + neck lifting. Dr. Kim Hanjo, specialist in functional nose," explained Hanung.
