Fasting in the Midst of the Corona Pandemic, This is the Wisdom Felt by Tukul Arwana

Kapanlagi.com - This year's Ramadan feels very different because of the corona pandemic. However, as humans, we still have to be grateful for it. That's also what comedian Tukul Arwana feels.

Tukul admits that fasting this year has made him more grateful. He also says that the key to success in fasting depends on one's intention.

"It all depends on our intention. Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for this situation and we always stay positive. Alhamdulillah, I have never missed a day of fasting," said Tukul Arwana when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/5).

1. Having Lots of Time with Family

Following the government's advice to stay at home, Tukul Arwana feels the extraordinary blessings. Now he has a lot of time to gather with his beloved family.

"Yes, we have to follow the government's advice. For example, my family rarely meets. We meet maybe every two or three months, because some are on duty in Magetan, studying in Surabaya, and my child rarely meets. But in a situation like this, we meet more often, because we stay at home. We can share and care, have conversations," he said.

2. Closer Bond through Gathering

Although he can't go back to his hometown for Eid, Tukul Arwana admits that he doesn't feel sad. This is because he can still have a gathering through video calls.

"The moments are not lost, it will definitely increase the longing. We can meet through media with video calls in various ways. Later, when we meet our relatives outside Java, the longing will be extraordinary and the bond of gathering will be closer," concluded Tukul Arwana.
