Feeling Restricted, Dodhy Kangen Band's Reason for Wanting to Divorce

Kapanlagi.com - Dodhy Kangen Band's marriage with Ayu Rizki Yani, which lasted for 16 years, experienced cracks. They almost divorced when Dodhy pronounced a divorce in May 2023 and chose to separate.

According to Dodhy, the reason he pronounced a divorce to his wife and chose to leave home was because he felt tired of the rules set by his wife, who asked him not to leave the house alone for 24 hours.

"Basically, we made an agreement. The agreement stated that I couldn't go out alone for 24 hours," said Dodhy in Kuningan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (26/9/2023).

"Yesterday, I reached a breaking point because we were always together for 24 hours, and I, as a man, wanted to go out alone, I felt uncomfortable," he continued.

That day, Dodhy continued, he felt tired of the rules and chose to break them. "I can't stand being treated like that, so I ended up going to the studio without saying goodbye to her. It happened to be in a different cluster. She messaged me 'Why did you go alone, without inviting me?' I said I couldn't handle it, I wanted to go alone," he said.

An argument was inevitable. Dodhy, feeling restrained and tired of his wife's rules, chose to divorce and run away from home. "From there, we started dealing with the divorce, basically it's at a standstill and we're just waiting for the divorce certificate," he said.

2. Not to Pressure Dodhy

When asked about the agreement they made, Dodhy admitted that he made a mistake which led to an agreement with his wife. "If the agreement has been there for a long time, it's because I made a mistake," said Dodhy.

"The agreement is not to pressure (Dodhy)," added Ayu Rizki Yani.
