"When I read comments, I don't take it personally. Whether they are positive or negative, I don't take them to heart," said Afgan when met in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (30/9/2023).

1. Neutral Towards Other People's Comments

Unlike most celebrities who feel flattered when praised, Afgan doesn't pay much attention to it. Because when it becomes a habit, it will create a desire to constantly seek praise. And when praise is absent, it will feel like something is wrong.

"For example, if someone says I'm cool, I don't become obsessed with being called cool. I try to stay neutral. Because if I define myself based on comments, I will be influenced by them. I appreciate people who support me, but I don't take anything personally," said Afgan.

2. Having Value for Oneself

Furthermore, Afgan emphasizes that as a human being, one must believe in the values within oneself. So that no one can influence and hurt them.

"I set boundaries because the value I have is what defines me, who I really am. Before you walk into something, you have to know yourself to find out who you are. I don't want to be obsessed with constantly reading positive things, just lay low, stay cool, chill. In my opinion, in every job, you are replaceable," Afgan concluded.
