In a short video posted by Ferry Irwandi on his social media, he responded to the news circulating about his reporting by the TNI General.
Ferry then read the news from Liputan6.com regarding the report of alleged criminal acts he committed to the Polda Metro Jaya. Before that, the TNI General's side claimed they had tried to contact Ferry but were unsuccessful.
In fact, Ferry felt that no one had contacted him and he knew nothing when approached by journalists. "Yes, and please ask the journalists. I said I didn’t know anything, I was playing FIFA," Ferry said as quoted (9/9/2025).
"And don’t worry, General, I have never run away, I am still in Jakarta. I will not go to Singapore, China, or elsewhere, Sir. And regarding not being reachable, I also don’t understand. All journalists can easily contact me even though they never asked for my number. And my number is already spread everywhere," explained Ferry.
"And I have to confirm, no messages or anything have ever reached me. So that's it," he added. Ferry also assured that he would undergo legal proceedings because Indonesia is indeed a rule of law country.
"Oh and one more thing, I am ready to face everything, don't worry, I was never raised to be a coward or fearful. Let me say one thing, ideas cannot be killed or imprisoned," he typed in the caption of the post.
Once again, he emphasized that he is not running away anywhere so Mr. General does not need to worry. This response has also received a lot of support from various parties.
