Finally, Abay is Circumcised, Ferry Maryadi and Deswita Maharani Relieved After Waiting for Years

Kapanlagi.com - A great happiness was felt by the family of Ferry Maryadi and Deswita Maharani when their son, Abay, finally underwent the circumcision ceremony. This moment has been awaited for years and finally took place on Abay's 10th birthday.

"On his 10th birthday, thank God, yesterday on January 2, Abay turned 10, and not long after that, on the 3rd, he was circumcised," Ferry revealed when met in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

1. Held on Friday

Deswita added that the moment is very special because it coincides with Friday.

"It just so happens to be on Friday, January 3, 2025. Abay will just have turned 10 years old, so okay, let’s go ahead and get him circumcised," Deswita explained.

However, the journey to this moment was not easy. Since he was seven years old, the couple has tried to persuade Abay to undergo circumcision, but they always encountered obstacles.

2. Had to Wait for Years of Persuasion

"I wanted to do it when he was 7 years old, but convincing him was really difficult," Deswita recounted.

She explained that at the age of 10, the approach changed. "Finally, a few months before he turned 10, it was more like threatening. I told Abay that circumcision is not just an obligation as a boy, but also for his health," she added.

3. Circumcision Deliberately Postponed

Ferry stated that the circumcision is intentionally postponed until Abay is older.

"Actually, when Abay was born, the doctor offered to circumcise him right away, but I said no. I wanted it to be a big event, with some artistry involved," explained Ferry.
