ADO's First Performance in Indonesia, Rocking and Surprising!

Kapanlagi.com - Phenomenal Japanese singer, ADO, has decided to venture outside of his 'cage' this year with The First World Tour: WISH. Among the series of tours in various countries and continents, Indonesia is included in his list of visits. This marks ADO's first arrival in the country.

ADO's concert in Indonesia took place on Tuesday night (27/2) at The Kasablanka Hall, Kota Kasablanka, South Jakarta. The concert started precisely at 8:00 PM, but the gates were opened since 2:00 PM.

The good news is, KapanLagi.com had the special opportunity to witness ADO's debut performance in Jakarta live. We arrived around 6:00 PM, where the queue to enter the venue was already packed. It should be noted that ADO's concert tickets in Jakarta were sold out since they were first announced.

1. Strict Rules About Camera Usage

A little disclaimer: The use of professional cameras and smartphones is strictly prohibited inside the venue. Every visitor must cover their smartphone camera with a sticker.

This rule is a direct request from ADO, who has always been secretive about their appearance to the public. In addition, the performer of the song Show also wants fans to focus more on enjoying the live performance rather than being busy with their gadgets.

2. Opened with Indonesia Raya and New Genesis

When we entered the venue, it was evident that 95% of the seats were already occupied, from Festival A to Festival B. Most of the audience came with lightsticks of different colors. The expressions of enthusiasm and hope were clearly visible on the faces of the impatient audience waiting for their idol.

At exactly 8:00 PM, the sound of Indonesia Raya echoed. The audience stood up to sing the national anthem together.

At around 8:15 PM, ADO finally appeared and performed the opening song, which is New Genesis, the soundtrack of ONE PIECE: RED. Of course, the audience went crazy, jumping and cheering non-stop, considering that New Genesis is one of ADO's most popular songs.

Following the concept of previous concerts, ADO performed inside a box in the middle of the stage, only revealing their silhouette. They were accompanied by several accompanying musicians. One thing that caught the audience's attention was the extraordinary lighting and visual effects on the stage.

3. Greeting Fans Using Indonesian Language

After the song New Genesis, ADO seems to not want to give any break to his fans. Without any pause, he immediately performed the second song, which is equally popular, Ussewa. ADO's debut song, full of spirit and screams, seemed to make the audience's adrenaline peak even more.

Alternately, ADO performed his hit songs. Although seats were provided at the venue, ADO's fans chose to continue standing, jumping, and singing along with their idol throughout the event.

After singing a few songs, ADO then greeted the audience using the Indonesian language. The audience became even more wild and shouted as loud as possible in response to every sentence uttered by the 21-year-old singer.

"Good evening Jakarta. Thank you for listening to Ado's songs. I hope you all enjoyed it," he said.

In his speech, ADO also admitted that he was very nervous when he had to perform outside his comfort zone (outside of Japan). However, the extraordinary enthusiasm of Indonesian fans made ADO more relaxed and performed all out.

4. Bringing Unexpected Songs

In the setlist that night, there was one song that was quite unexpected for the audience, where ADO performed the old Japanese hit song Stay With Me which was popularized by Miki Matsubara. As known, the song is currently viral again on social media, such as TikTok and Instagram.

ADO then took a break to perform the last song, which is Show. However, after the song ended, the audience didn't want to leave the venue at all. They kept shouting 'ENCORE' to ask their idol to return to the stage.

ADO fulfilled the audience's request. He came back and performed 3 Vocaloid songs; Gekkou, Freedom and Senbonsakura which he often covered when he was a Utaite. He wanted to reminisce about the early days of his career with Indonesian fans.

Last but not least, ADO finally said goodbye by performing the last song Odo. The energetic and dubstep-filled song successfully became an incredible closure to leave beautiful memories in the hearts of ADO's fans in Indonesia.

5. Extraordinary Enthusiasm from Fans

Overall, ADO's performance in Jakarta was extraordinary, bringing an unforgettable and beautiful experience. We are confident that ADO was also amazed by the super enthusiasm of their fans in Indonesia. It's understandable, since from the beginning of their career, they have mostly focused on building their name in Japan.

Furthermore, the official ADO merchandise was already sold out when we arrived at the venue. This means that the love of Indonesian fans for ADO is not ordinary. They are ready to go all-out to support their idol.
