Kapanlagi.com - For the first time, Lucinta Luna had to experience the month of Ramadan in prison. Currently, Luna is in Rutan Pondok Bambu due to a drug case that implicated her earlier this year.
Experiencing Ramadan amidst the corona pandemic, Luna must maintain social distancing like everyone else. This was revealed by the Head of Rutan Pondok Bambu, Ema Puspita, who was recently contacted by the media.
"Yes, it is done in her room because during this corona period, they are not allowed to gather. Usually, we hold religious studies and tadarus in the mosque, but because they are not allowed to gather during this corona period, I have instructed each room, giving directions that if they want to have tadarus, they can do it as usual, just like the others," said Ema on Monday, (27/4).

Although formerly a man, Lucinta Luna was not placed in a special cell during her detention at Rutan Pondok Bambu. She was placed in a women's cell and performed her religious duties like a woman.
"There isn't any, because fundamentally, based on the court's decision, she has been recognized as a woman, so we are in the same cell. There is no special cell, so it's just like usual, praying also using mukena, just like a woman," explained Ema.

Besides Lucinta Luna, there is also Vitalia Sesha who is currently detained at Rutan Pondok Bambu. Before the corona outbreak in Indonesia, Vitalia still managed to entertain the prisoners there.
"The same, so before the corona, like yesterday for example, she participated in art activities to entertain and prevent loneliness. They were all going to face Ramadan together," said Ema.
However, now these activities cannot be carried out due to the PSBB (Large-scale Social Restrictions) and social distancing measures. All prisoners are required to stay in their respective rooms to prevent the spread of the virus.
