When asked about his considerations, Vincent explained that the desire to become a WNI emerged at the beginning of the year. As the head of a family with three children, he thinks realistically about the future, especially concerning his wife's career, Jessica Iskandar.
"Maybe at the beginning of the year, that's when I started thinking about it because you know I have three kids, a wife. If we move abroad to look for work, it's not that easy," said Vincent when met in Tendean, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/9/2025).
Vincent is well aware that Jessica Iskandar's profession as an artist in Indonesia cannot be easily transferred to another country. He does not want to take the risk of starting everything from scratch if they move abroad.
"Moreover, my wife's profession here as an entertainer, as an artist. It's not certain she will be successful abroad. I might not be successful either, and I would have to start from scratch again," he said.
When asked about his considerations, Vincent explained that the desire to become an Indonesian citizen arose at the beginning of the year. As the head of a family with three children, he thinks realistically about the future, especially concerning his wife Jessica Iskandar's career.
"Yeah, I just said, it seems like I want to change my citizenship, oh why is that, they asked, well, everything I just explained. Yeah, she supports whatever I want, she supports," Vincent explained.
"Especially since my wife's profession here is as an entertainer, as an artist. It's not guaranteed that she will be successful abroad. I might not be successful either, and would have to start from scratch again," he said.
