Kapanlagi.com - Fanni Lauren Christie, former Miss Indonesia Friendship 2002, clarifies reports from three Foreign Nationals (FNs) accusing her of embezzling funds from a hotel investment in Bali. Accompanied by her lawyer, Dr. Togar Situmorang, Fanni explains the allegations made against her.

In a virtual interview held via Zoom on Tuesday (27/6), Fanni's lawyer revealed that she has only been asked to provide a statement at the Bali Police regarding the reports filed by the three FNs. Regarding the legal steps to be taken, Fanni Lauren will cooperate and wait for an official summons from the police. As of now, Fanni Lauren has not received any confirmation of the summons.

"As for the legal steps, no, Ms. Fanni will actually cooperate and wait for a summons from the Bali Police. Because there are 3 FNs and we don't know the details of their reports. They said there are 3 criminal reports. So far, the client has not received any confirmation and there has been no summons from the Bali Police," said Togar Situmorang.

Togar Situmorang also explained that the ownership status is still related to PT Indo Bhali Makmur Jaya or Fanni Lauren herself, but regarding its legal status, there is still a polemic between the plaintiff and the defendant. Dr. Togar Situmorang also questioned the details regarding the amount of Rp 500 million mentioned in the report, whether the amount is per person or cumulative, considering that there are three foreign nationals involved in this case, namely BP, CKB, and LS.

"LS is related to the apartment, so what about these 2? What are these 2 related to? It is clearly written there about fraud, embezzlement, by placing false information in an authentic deed, which is not elaborated, and we are waiting for the police," he said.

2. Complete Chronology

In addition, during the occasion, Togar Situmorang also explained the initial chronology of this case. Initially, the land ownership was in the hands of Fanni Lauren, but due to a land lease agreement, the plan was to build a new building and there were four foreign nationals involved in the cooperation agreement, and they made a notarial deed as the basis of the agreement.

"So, according to deed 47, they were supposed to provide financial assistance with the assumption of 40 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent, 20 percent. Ms. Fanni as the first party, as the landowner, she already had the land, and it was only the development plan from the foreign nationals according to deed number 47, but since this is cooperation, they have to realize it, until now there is no money entering PT's account," he concluded.
