Abdur Arsyad used to feel bored while on campus because there were no interesting activities, KLovers. Furthermore, his heart was troubled. Nevertheless, this comedian from East Nusa Tenggara did not let himself sink into boredom. Abdur Arsyad was driven to try new things.

"I used to feel very bored when I was a Master's student. There were no interesting activities and I became troubled. Fortunately, that troubled feeling pushed me to try something new. Joining communities and starting a career as a comedian. Performing stand-up comedy in cafes and in front of many people," said Abdur Arsyad at Mata Najwa on Stage at Dome Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Wednesday night (12/7).

Abdur also shared his daily life while studying at university, KLovers. He was once active in student organizations at UMM, specifically serving as secretary in the Department Student Association (HMJ) Matriks, which was part of the Mathematics study program for the 2007-2008 period.

Because of that, he encourages young people to actively participate in various organizations. Organizational activities will enhance many skills, including public speaking. Abdur also advised the audience, "You must be active in organizations. Even if your motivation is only to get boxed meals, your skills will truly be sharpened."

Regarding his expertise as a comedian, Abdur believes that everything he masters is not a matter of talent. However, hard work and consistent practice are important keys even though initially there were some people who doubted.

"Young people, never feel downhearted if you feel unsupported by relatives or even parents. Prove that you succeed through achievements," Abdur Arsyad firmly said.
