Actor Jeff Smith was arrested by the police again for a similar case, namely drug abuse. The arrest of Jeff Smith was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol. Endra Zulpan.
"So, the person in question was arrested on December 8, 2021, precisely at 18:30 WIB at his home in Depok," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol. Endra Zulpan, Thursday (9/22/2021).Â
If previously Jeff Smith was arrested for the abuse of marijuana, now the star of the movie 4 Mantan was arrested for using Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD) drugs.
"The person in question is using LSD narcotics," said Zulpan to KapanLagi reporter who attended the press conference this afternoon.
LSD is a new type of narcotic that is very dangerous for health. Therefore, LSD is classified as a class one drug.
"LSD is classified as a new type of drug. The way of usage on the tongue and its effects cause hallucinations. This is a highly dangerous drug, so it falls into the class one category," he said.
For his actions, Jeff Smith faces a minimum of 5 years in prison. "(The Article used) Narcotics Law no 35 of 2009, the punishment is above 5 years," said Zulpan.
Previously, Jeff Smith was arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police in April 2021 for the abuse of marijuana.
Ironically, Jeff Smith was recently released about 3 months ago regarding the case.
