Four Times Failing the Second Child Program, Denny Sumargo Admits He Is Starting to Surrender

Kapanlagi.com - Denny Sumargo revealed his struggles with his wife, Olivia Allan, to have a second child. After being blessed with their first daughter, Gabriella, the couple resumed their pregnancy program. However, until now they have experienced failure four times.

Denny admitted that the struggle has drained a lot of energy and emotion, especially for Olivia. Seeing his wife starting to feel exhausted, he began to consider ending the pregnancy program.

"Yes, we failed four times in this program, the last program we took a break first, it turns out Ci Oliv wants to try again to have a second child," said Denny Sumargo when met in West Jakarta on Wednesday (15/7/2026).

"But we never really talked about it, just yesterday I spilled it because I saw my wife was quite tired. So four times failing and I think maybe this is the last one it seems," he continued.

Although hoping to be blessed with a son, Denny emphasizes that he does not want to force the situation. For him, the most important thing is the health of his wife and family.

"The plan was actually to hope for a boy, but if it doesn't happen, that's okay, a girl is also fine, the point is this seems to be the last one," he revealed.

2. The Struggle to Have Offspring

Denny explained that the failure experienced occurred after the embryo transfer process. According to him, maintaining a pregnancy until the early stages is not an easy task. They had a similar experience before they were finally blessed with Gabriella.

"Oh, on average it never succeeds until the 14th day after the embryo transfer. Because it's really that difficult, the first one was hard. Getting Biel, Gabriella, it took four failures before finally getting it. It's hard, I feel like I want to be given something that I have to wait for," he said.

3. Still Traumatized

The experience of losing a prospective child in a previous pregnancy still leaves trauma for Denny. The moment when the heartbeat of his unborn baby stopped during an ultrasound examination remains a memory that is hard for him to forget.

"Oh, that was me, because at that time, it was the first time before Biel was born, we (Oliv and I) had already been pregnant a few times, one of which was during the first or second, I forgot, the first one, during the ultrasound, the heartbeat stopped right in front of my eyes, on the monitor. I was shocked, because it was the first time. That’s where I was traumatized," he concluded.
