Free After 10 Years Behind Bars, Angelina Sondakh Apologizes

Kapanlagi.com - Convicted corruption case Angelina Sondakh finally can breathe fresh air after spending 10 years behind bars. Angelina Sondakh was supposed to be released in April 2022, but she received parole, so she can be considered free earlier.

When she walked out of the gate of Pondok Bambu women's prison in East Jakarta on Sunday (3/3) at 06.22 a.m., Angelina Sondakh couldn't hold back her tears of joy. She apologized to the entire Indonesian people for her case.

"Alhamdulillah, I have been declared free. I want to apologize to all the people of Indonesia for my actions that should not be imitated or followed. I deeply regret it," said Angelina Sondakh.

"I thank Allah for slapping me so that I have to be corrected," she continued.

The wife of the late Adjie Massaid also apologized to her parents and promised to make them happy.

2. Wants to Make Parents Happy

"I apologize to my parents in their old age. Inshaallah, I will make them happy," she said.

In addition, Angelina Sondakh did not forget to thank her only son, Kuanu Jabbar Massaid, for supporting her during her sentence. Therefore, Angelina Sondakh is determined to become a better mother for her son.

"I also thank Keanu for being strong and tough. Mommy regrets, mommy apologizes. Mommy tries to be the best mother," she concluded.
