Frequently Arguing, Hotman Paris Affirms Not Bringing Personal Matters When Being the Lawyer for Hotma Sitompul's Wife

It has become a public secret that the relationship between two famous lawyers, Hotman Paris Hutapea and Hotma Sitompul, often clashes. They are often in a position where they have to oppose each other when defending clients.

It is still clearly recorded how Hotman became the legal counsel for Lidya Pratiwi while Hotma handled the planned murder victim's family, Naek Gonggom Hutagalung. Or when Hotman defended Mulan Kwok (now known as Mulan Jameela), while Hotma became the legal counsel for Maia Estianty.

1. Not Bringing Personal Matters

The latest news is that Hotman Paris has become Desiree Tarigan's legal counsel to handle her domestic case with Hotma Sitompul. However, Hotman admitted that he is not bringing any personal matters into this issue.

"This is purely business, there is no other factor, I don't have any personal problems. Our fields of work are just different, I am international. There is no competition whatsoever," answered Hotman when asked why he wanted to handle Desiree's case when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Monday (29/3/2021).

2. Whisper from God

Meanwhile, Desiree Tarigan revealed that she chose Hotman Paris as her legal counsel after feeling a sign. Since being expelled, as a devout Christian, she has spent a lot of time praying.

"I struggled a lot, prayed a lot, because I didn't know what to do with my time. Then maybe God whispered to me to choose Bang Hotman," answered Desiree in the same place.
