The General Election Commission (KPU) has now officially appointed 24 celebrities as members of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period. These celebrities will join 580 legislative members from 8 political parties. Now, they have secured seats in Senayan. The appointment of the members of the Indonesian House of Representatives was announced by the Chairman of KPU RI Mochammad Afifuddin on Sunday (25/8/2024). Check out the complete list below.
First, there is singer Iyeth Bustami from the PKB party, representing Riau I. This senior dangdut singer received tremendous support from the public, no wonder she garnered 80,750 votes.
Next is Eko Patrio from the PAN faction who has successfully become a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for 4 terms. Eko Patrio ran from the electoral district of DKI Jakarta I, with a total of 93,673 votes.
Once Mekel passed to the Indonesian House of Representatives following other artists. From his supporting party PDIP, Once received 60,623 votes from the electoral district of DKI Jakarta II.
Then there is Pasha Ungu or his full name Sigit Purnomo from the PAN faction with the electoral district of West Java I. Pasha's total votes reached 50,222!
Famous Indonesian musician, Melly Goeslaw also passed to Senayan with a total of 75,369 votes. The party that endorsed her is Gerindra and the electoral district she chose is West Java I.
Uya Kuya has entered politics for the first time and is running for a seat in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). Finally, this member of the PAN faction received 81,463 votes from the DKI Jakarta II electoral district.
Following Once Mekel, Junico B.P Siahaan from the PDIP faction received 56,516 votes, successfully securing a seat in Senayan. Nico Siahaan's electoral district is West Java I.
Nurul Arifin is very grateful to have made it to Senayan. This is not her first time as a legislative member. Nurul Arifin from the Golkar Party, representing West Java I, received 63,203 votes.
The beautiful artist Rachel Maryam Sayidina has now chosen to dive into politics. She is known to be from the Gerindra Party, and with support from the community in the West Java II electoral district, she successfully obtained 114,749 votes.
From the Democratic faction, Dede Yusuf Macan Effendi has been nominated to run for legislative office in the West Java II electoral district. He received 210,179 votes.
Dina Lorenza, an artist and soap opera star, has been elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period. She ran as a legislative candidate from the Democratic Party in the East Java III electoral district, securing around 52,983 votes, which is enough to secure a seat in Senayan.
Denny Cagur has joined the ranks of celebrities running for legislative office. Through the PDIP Party, Denny received 58,043 votes from the West Java II electoral district.
Desy Ratnasari has been involved in politics since 2012. She is now officially a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the PAN faction with the electoral district in West Java IV, obtaining 78,306 votes.
Tommy Kurniawan has been involved in politics for a long time. Although he experienced failure in his candidacy, it did not make him give up. Tommy Kurniawan was endorsed by the PKB Party, receiving 100,656 votes from the West Java V electoral district.
Handsome actor Primus Yustosio, a politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN), will soon be working in Senayan. He obtained 128,892 votes from the West Java V electoral district.
Rieke Diah has extraordinary experience in the political world. This member of the PDIP faction successfully garnered 94,201 votes from the West Java VII electoral district.
Verrell Bramasta has become a young person who has ventured into politics. This member of the PAN faction is diving in for the first time and has already qualified for Senayan with a total of 94,810 votes from the West Java VII electoral district.
Be a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives again! Mulan Jameela received 83,526 votes from the West Java XI electoral district. This Gerindra faction member is on her way to Senayan.
Nafa Urbach's political career began in 2018 when she joined the NasDem Party. Despite failing in the previous legislative election, Nafa did not give up and ran again in the 2024 elections in the Central Java VI electoral district, securing 67,652 votes.
Arzeti Bilbina ran in the East Java I electoral district. This PKB member successfully received 62,790 votes. This marks her third time becoming a legislative member.
Ahmad Dhani, the frontman of the band Dewa 19, has officially been elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period. He follows in the footsteps of his wife after winning the election in the East Java I electoral district from the Gerindra Party with a total of 134,227 votes.
Moreno Soeprapto, a former racer, was first elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in the 2014 elections. Now he is back in the East Java V electoral district, with a total of 112,313 votes. This member of the Gerindra Party will serve in the DPR RI for the 2024-2029 period.
Rano Karno's journey in the political world is beyond doubt. The senior artist, who was once rumored to be a candidate for Deputy Governor of Jakarta, has now officially become a member of the DPR RI with a total of 149,397 votes from the PDIP faction.
Dangdut singer Ashraff Abu has officially become a legislative member after being elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2024-2029 period. He was elected from the Central Java X electoral district. This member of the Golkar Party received 177,436 votes.
